William was his name, he was born 12/25/1865 in Gaston County, North Carolina. He apparently was the youngest son of James. His parents at one time lived in the Noxubee area where some of his sisters and brothers may have settled along with his uncles and aunts. William has always been reported as dying in the Civil War which has been erroneous information. Most of his children settled in North Carolina, Pennsylvania and New York. I am searching for any of his family in Mississippi. Did James and Barbara relocate back to Mississippi where they died? Our family has always been a mystery and others who are linked to this name would like to know about their heritage.
