Fant lived in Noxubee County during the Civil War and served as a surgeon with the 1st Mississippi Cavalry. Family members remeber seeing his sword that was in the possession of his grandaughter Cornelia Fant Hill in the early 1940's. I am intersting in locating the prsent owner of the sword.
