Groves Dantzler died on 10 Jan 1872 in MS. He is buried in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Macon. I have a great aunt that says there was an obituary on him that his wife Eugene Boggess Dantzler had in her possession. No one knows what paper it was in or what happened to it. There was also an obit of his father D.A.J. Dantzler who died 31 Jan 1877 and one of his mother Martha Howard Dantzler who died 14 Mar 1880. How would I find a copy of it? Is the Macon Beacon on Microfilm where one could see if it was in that paper? Any help on finding this is appreciated. Caren

The citation for Mississippi Masons that I ran across is: J. H. Henry, "Abstradex of Annual Returns, Mississippi Free and Accepted Masons," Southern Genealogical Services, New Market, Alabama, 1969. If I recall there is an every-name index, and I believe a discussion of various chapters, where they were located, which merged, and when. The citations for my relatives were circa 1847 and later. The book is in the LDS Library Catalog, and probably in some of its Regional Genealogial Libraries, etc. Hope this helps someone. j John F. Mississippi Masonic Orders were lucky enough to be the subject of a book. I did find where in Mississippi (Kemper) two of my ancestors joined and advanced. The hour is late, but if anyone wants it, I will post the citation tomorrow. j John F. O'Hanlon O'Hanlon Consulting "There is Nothing to Vacuum" 4060 W.
