This is great. I'm collecting all this "dialogue" from everyone and hope to sort through all of it this weekend. Most of my research started from a gift in 1985, when I was 16 years old from my cousin Dr. Harvey Cannon, Jr, who also put a copy of his work at teh Neshoba Library. Anyway, he asked me and others to double check and try to build on this. It's taken me a while to learn about the documentation. I went to get a history degree, mostly to learn about original research, then several years passed where I didn't do a lot. Now I am finding that much of the information that is passed around is incomplete or made from suppositions and so forth. It is very interesting how close it all is even with so many people involved! Anyway, I'm especially interested in your sources. That is wonderful. I will do my best to give sources wehre I have them on my next post. I live in Arizona now and have been here about 4 years. Right before I moved here I spent a week in Tennessee and Mississippi wandering through cemeteries. I think I might actually have a few photos of some of these folks' gravestones we've been discussing. Many of them I didn't discover until after that trip but I did get an awesome book while in Philadelphia and I'd be happy to look up any gravestone info if you want me to. It's a collection of dates, names, of gravestones in Neshoba County through 1996. I am now rambling so will quit. Thanks again for sharing. Will post some more stuff this weekend. This is great how so many people have gotten involved inthis line of queries. J. Russell suehoward wrote: >Julie, isn't this fun?!!
