    3. Hi, Thanks for getting back in touch with me. So far, and this is undocumented by me, so take it with a grain of salt, I have Lewis Davis ADKINS' parents as Zaccheus ADKINS (b. 1781 , Sussex, Virginia; d. York City, South Carolina) and Piety Prudence SANSING (b. Nov 1785 probably in Bute co., NC; d. Sep 1879 in Homer, Claiborne parish, Louisiana). Zaccheus' parents were Lewis ADKINS (b. 9 Sep 1742 in Surry, Virginia; d. abt 1810 in York co., SC) and Susannah ____ (b. abt 1740 in Surry co., VA; d. abt 1793). I don't have info on any of their children other than the direct line. As for Benjamin Franklin ADKINS, all I know of him is that he was born about 1829 in Henry co., Georgia. The ADKINS and GRIFFINs came to Mississippi in the same wagon train, I am told, arriving in Neshoba county around 1854. I don't know any more about Benjamin but will be glad to help you search for clues. I'll pass on anything I learn. Yes, Mary Elizabeth ADKINS married James Andrew GRIFFIN, an older brother to my great-grandfather, John Jefferson GRIFFIN. They had 8 children that I know of. Martha Adeline ADKINS married Ira Lewis "L" GRIFFIN, another brother in the GRIFFIN household. They had 11 children that I know of. If you need info on any of their descendants, I will be happy to share what I have. The GRIFFIN boys were sons of Daniel Boone GRIFFIN (b. 19 Mar 1802 in Orangeburg, SC; d. 25 Jan 1884 in Black Jack, Neshoba, MS) and Nancy T. RHODES (b. abt 1804 in GA; d. 5 Feb 1885 in Neshoba co., MS). They were married 26 Feb 1827 in Greene county, Alabama, where they lived for at least 2-3 years before going back to Georgia. I have yet to find out who either of their parents were, but I feel that I am getting close to finding the GRIFFIN line. Some of the puzzle pieces are starting to come together. I think his father may have been either Daniel GRIFFIN or Abraham GRIFFIN of North Carolina, but haven't found proof yet. Anyway, thanks for getting back in touch with me. I'll let you know what I find out about Benjamin and Elizabeth. Debi Griffin Campbell
