Hi Kay, I don't know if I answered your e-mail about the Beards that I am researching. My Grandfather was Charles McKinney Beard born in MS about 1846 and died in San Augustine Co. TX about 1922. His father was George Reed Beard and his mother I think was Martha Warren. George married Mary Faubus Causey , This was a second marriage for Mary and I also think it was for George . Some researches think that Mary was the mother of Charles (my Grandfather) but I do not think so. George R. Beard was son of Alexander Beard of Lincoln Co. TN. Alexander Beard was son of John Beard of NC. I need help in getting proof from son to father. Everyone I have been in touch with seems to think that this line of Beards is right but I do not have all the proof connecting them. I found George R. Beard and also Charles "Mack" in the 1870 census They moved to East Texas abt. 1871. Thanks for any help that you may have or can find.
