    1. Re: [MSMONROE] Burial - Leona Davis Goodson - Monroe County 1912?
    2. Mary Anna Riggan
    3. Susan, Being Native American definitely was the reason I never found the grave of my gr gr grandmother. She and two of her children died during a flu epidemic. They (??the neighborhood) allowed the children to be buried in the local cemetery, but not her. Her husband carried her to a secret place and buried her......would never tell anyone where she was. I've just recently (after ~30years) found this information. Their third child survived, the husband married again, and I discovered their descendants who knew "the rest of the story." Never give up, MA ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, October 06, 2009 8:53 AM Subject: Re: [MSMONROE] Burial - Leona Davis Goodson - Monroe County 1912? > > Thanks.? Family tradition says that Leona was Native American.? Could this have anything to do with the fact that I cannot locate a burial site?? I know nothing more about her, other than these facts.? The second daughter, Mary Agnes, was raised by Jasper Ellis and his wife Lucy. They are listed in Lowndes County in 1920.? I don't know why they had her, and not her father.? On the 1910 Federal Census, Tom and Lucy Davis were living in the same household as Homer and Lonie (Leona) in Splunge.? ?Does this mean anything to anyone?? Brick wall for many years. > > Again, thanks for your help. > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Mary Anna Riggan <[email protected]> > To: [email protected] > Sent: Mon, Oct 5, 2009 8:25 pm > Subject: Re: [MSMONROE] Burial - Leona Davis Goodson - Monroe County 1912? > > > > > Susan, > > I find Annie Goodson (died 1911) buried at Lann.
