    1. Isaah Stockton & Isaah L Stockton - 1850 Monroe Co, MS Census
    2. Lisa Franklin
    3. Hello! I'm new to the list as I've been working on the Stockton/Franklin connection. On the 1850 census, in addition to finding the families of James P Stockton & wife Rebecca, Robert N Stockden & wife Mary J, I find not one, but TWO Isaah Stocktons. One of these is found in household 658/687 listed as Isaah Stockton aged 16 (b 1834 MS) and living with Franklin Stockton age 20 & his wife Amanda C age 19. Franklin being the brother of Robert & James P, so I'm guessing this makes Isaah a brother also. Was confused when I found in 819/850, in the household of Frederick Weaver 77 & wife Sarah 50 & children, Isaah L Stockton aged 18 (b 1832 MS). Now I've looked at the household of the widowed Sarah Stockton in 1840 and, in addition to her other sons, she has 2 males under the age of 5. What I'm thinking is that Isaah aged 16 (in the house w/Franklin Stockton) and Isaah L aged 18 (in the house of Frederick Weaver) are those 2 sons. Have gone back to the census images & the one living with Franklin is clearly written Isaah. The one w/Franklin Weaver could be Isaah L Stockton or Israh L Stockton depending on how you looked at it. I'm open for opinions here as it seems unlikely that a family would have 2 sons born 2 years apart both named the same. All help appreciated.
