My Elizabeth Harris was born about 1831. I am descended from her brother Timothy Harris, born about 1834. Their father was James Harris. He moved his family in about 1850 across the border from AL to Monroe County, MS. In the 1850 U.S. Census, James and his family were living in Fayette County (now Lamar Co.). Elizabeth Harris was living with him at that time. In that year he acquired an homestead in Monroe County. In the 1860 U.S. Census of Monroe Co., Elizabeth Harris was not living with him. So she probably married someone between 1850 and 1860. If this is your Elizabeth and you find anything on her, I would appreciate any information with which you can provide me. Jim Hall
