Jim, If you have been to EML in Aberdeen, I'm sure you saw all the information in the Monroe County History about the Boyd and Roberds families. My suggestions about finding the Bible would be: (1) Post to the Hines County site (2) Go on line to get phone numbers of Hines County libraries, Genealogical/Historical Society, local newspapers, Chancery office, and anything else you think you might need. (3) Contact the above--talk with a local knowledgeable person to see if the Judge has descendants living in the area and what happened to his genealogical papers, etc. He could have donated them to a local library or to the Society. (3) If all else fails, submit a letter to the editor of every paper in Hines County.......searching for descendants of Judge...., who lived in this area ~1955. You don't have to say why you're searching. Good luck, MA ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim Allen" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]>; <[email protected]>; <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, June 17, 2007 3:30 PM Subject: [MSMONROE] Roberds Family Bible. > Greetings, > > I am attempting to locate the person who has possession of the Green > Thompson ROBERDS family Bible. Thanks MA for these suggestions. Yes, I have a copy of the Monroe Co., history book and have read it almost cover to cover. Your suggestions are super and I'll press on in my search. Jim.
