Bonnie there is a host of info on you Wise family in the 1988 Monroe County History book and in Mother Monroe (Dr. Evans). If you live within driving distance, it would be well worth your time to visit the Evans Memorial Library in Aberdeen or the library in Amory. Your Wise family was some of the earliest settles in that part of the country, and were well respected from what I can gather. I have found mention of a Wise /Mayfield connection but have not been able to tracking anything solid. Also, the Wise family was connected to the John Tucker family. From the close proximity of the families, I would assume that Catherine, age 75, is the grandmother, James, age 52 is one of her sons, and the young men in their 30's are his sons and/or the son's of his brothers. Their migration patters appears to be SC-TN-MS. Hope this helps.
