The census shows Alfred Pickle 20 and Celia A Pickle 23 both b in Alabama, and James H. Pickle 2, b. Mississippi, living next do the large Henry Pickle family in the Eastern Division of Monroe County in 1850. Alfred was a farmer. Page 38 of that census, by the way. Henry, 43, was born in NC and his wife Levenia, 41, in Alabama. Their progeny ranged in age from 2 to 22. And they housed the school teacher.
