Mary Ann, I may be from the same Riggan family as your husband. James Andrew Harris married Mary Elizabeth Riggan in 1859. She was the daughter of Thomas Judkins Riggan and Nancy Caroline Carter of Warren Co., NC. He was the son of Jeremiah Riggan and Elizabeth Nicholas Edgerton; he was the son of William Riggan and Elizabeth Hall. He was the son of John Riggan. I think John was the son of Frances Regan of Isle of Wight, VA - that's where I see a change in spelling of the name. Is this your father's line?
