Mary Anna: Phillis and I have corresponded this week. We're working on this together. Actually, my MAJORS ancestors were close neighbors, and probably friends with the RIGGAN family. I'm looking for the marriage of Osborn Majors to Nancy, and have wondered if perhaps Nancy was a RIGGAN. Osborn married Nancy in about 1828-29, probably in Monroe County, but marriages from that early date are hard to find. Do you know if any books or other records have been published and/or indexed for Monroe County?
