Mona, you find it spelled several different ways, but mostly Riggan(s) and Riggin(s). I never discount Reagan or Regan. My husband's family came from Warren Co., NC by 1816/1817 and settled in/around the Splunge area. Today is Decoration Day at Bethleham Cemetery (NE Monroe), so we went yesterday to put flowers on our ancestors' graves. As I was making my way, I noticed a row (side by side) of small new stones.......~8"X8" with only names: Perry Majors, Helon Majors, Hawkins Majors, and Cora Majors. The flowers were new and evidently had been put on since the rain Friday...they were still bright and clean. I'm pretty safe in saying these stones were not there last year. 'Haven't had time to check the censuses, so don't know if these are yours, but thought I'd pass this information along. Thanks. Those are Majors ancestors, and yes the stones are relatively new. Phillis said there were no stones for those family members previously, so family put them there. Thanks.
