This is for anyone researching the Lann/Land family in early Monroe. It is from the MS State census for Monroe County in 1841. These entries below were all in a row on the page but since the page is not in alpha order it is possible the families were near each other. On one side was Rosanna McKinney (3,2,5) and on the other side was Wm. Coker (5,5,10) The first page is the only one with column headings M F T - which I assume means males, females, total. John Land, 2-3-5 Henry Land, 2-1-3 Issac Land, Senior, 2-2-4 Issac Land, Junior, 1-1-2 Thomas Land, 1-1-2 James Land, 1-1-2 Joseph Land, 2-3-5 Benjamin Land, 1-3-4 Ancestry has the page images of this state census posted. The database is entitled "Mississippi State and Territorial Census Collection, 1792-1866." The only records for Monroe County are for 1841 - 14 pages in all. Many of the entries are very hard to read so I doubt that the search function for individual names brings up every name on the census. By reading each page you may recognize one of your names which the indexer could not read.
