The History of Monroe County Mississippi book done in 1988 by a committee (mostly members of the historical society) is no longer available. You will be quite lucky to come by a copy. I recently bid on a copy on Ebay and was outbid at the last minute. The company which published the book is no longer in existence. A reprinting would cost the society more than it can reasonably afford from what I understand. I would love to see it available in PDF format by CD if it can't be reproduced in print format; however, there are copyright considerations there as well.
