    3. I have Ritter's from Monroe County who are not in my direct line. My second great Grand Aunt, Sally Annice Kirkpatrick married Stephen David Ritter in Monroe Co., 21 Jan 1894. When we went through my grandmother's things after she died, I found 2 newspapers, one from Amory and one from Aberdeen dated Oct 22, 1952. The papers were obviously saved because of Sallie's obituary. I states that Dave Ritter was a popular public official in Monroe County offices. The only Ritter I knew was Houston whom I met at a Kirkpatrick reunion in probably 1966. He was a very impressive character along with his wife, Helen. I am watching the Ritter discussion with interest.
