Is there anyone who can tell me if the names John Bethune Martin, John B. Martin, John Martin or J.B. Martin; Nancy Hill Harris Martin, Nancy H. Martin (wife of John Martin); Arthur Martin or Alexander Martin (sons of John and Nancy Martin) appear in any index of any cemetery record book? John Martin and his sons, Arthur and Alexander were living in Holly Springs in 1848. Nancy Harris Martin died about 6 March 1844 or 1846. According to family records, Alexander F. Martin died of Yellow Fever at Mazatlan while on his way to Mexico. I do not know why or when he was going to Mexico or if his body was brought back to Marshall County for burial. Family records also state that his brother, Arthur H. Martin, was killed in action while a Captain in the Confederate Army. I do not know the date or place his death occurred or if his body made it back to Holly Springs. Any help finding the burial location of any of these Martins would be so very greatly appreciated! Thanks.
