Does anyone have access to "Marshall County, MS Wills and Probate Records," by Betty Whitshire, Pioneer Press? If so, could some kind soul see if there is a John Martin listed? His wife, Nancy Harris Martin, died in 1844 or 1846. She may have had a will. His full name was John Bethune Martin and he died after 1848. His son, Alexander Farquar, died as a captain during the War Between the States. I'm not sure when his son, Arthur Harris Martin died. Before moving to Mississippi, J.B. Martin was Clerk of Courts for Montgomery Co., NC. I believe he was a lawyer. He was a farmer in Holly Springs, MS. Thanks so much for any help.
