Does anyone have a copy of "Shadow of a Mighty Rock: A Social and Cultural History of Presbyterianism in Marshall County Mississippi," by Rev. Dr. Robert Milton Winter?, In the book Rev. Dr. Robert Milton Winter shares the history of Presbyterianism in northern MS, touching on influences and endeavors of many people and institutions in surrounding areas. I am looking for any information on the life of my ancestor, John Bethune Martin. His mother was Flora Bethune and her brother (his uncle) was John Bethune who was a Presbyterian minister. John Bethune was a Chaplain for the Loyalists troops during the Revolutionary War. He was run out of America and settled in Canada. John Bethune Martin's parents were from Isle of Skye, Scotland. I'm assuming he would have been Presbyterian. His wife was Nancy Hill Harris and their children were Atlas Jones Martin, Alexander Farquar Martin, Arthur Harris Martin, Mary Bethune Martin and Margaret Harris Martin. Any reference to any of these family members would be a great lead. Thanks for your help! Fredreica
