    1. [MSMARSHA-L] Re: Yarboroughs in Marshall County
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Yarborough, Peel Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HKB.2ACI/506.1.1 Message Board Post: I don't know if we're tracking the same set of Yarboroughs, but kin did tend to move in packs in the 19th century. Here's what I have: Ellen Peel (my gx2grandmother), the daughter of William Peel and Mary Davis of Marshall County, MS, was listed with Charles Yarborough & family in the 1860 census, presumably an orphan. I also have a photo of an Ernest Yarborough, c. 1896, given to my great-aunt Reba when she was a girl. This picture is posted on my website (users.erols.com/webmouse -- look under Who's Who) Priscilla Lanier, is listed in the 1910 census with my great grandfather Hunter Peel Alexander as his great aunt. Her death certificate gives her mother's maiden name as Yarborough. This seems to indicate that the Yarboroughs' were Ellen Peel's kin on her mother's side, but I haven't worked out how.
