His history is somewhat clouded but here is what I remember. Eli Martin was born April 15, 1884 somewhere around Yazoo City, Biloxi, Belzoni, Vicksburg or Natchez. He had several brothers and sisters. The names I remember are: Sallie, Ben, Cleveland. Uncle Cleve lived in Rolling Fork. Many cousins and family members lived around Mound Bayou, Shelby, Clarksdale, Vicksburg, Larmon. His biological name was Williams, however, he took on the last name of his stepfather, Martin. I've been told a large family reunion is held yearly which consists mainly of the Williams side. Maybe you can't help, but a reply will be greatly appreciated.
