Thanks so much for checking. I keep coming across John D. Martin in my searches and he lived near my Martin cousins. Sometimes I wonder if my John B. Martin's handwriting caused people to think his middle initial was D. I have another ancestor named Thomas Godfrey Burfitt, but everything I've come across lists him as Thomas J. Burfitt - I've seen his signature and his "G" does look like a "J." Again, thanks for checking for me.
