The Colonel Erasmus Ferdinand Potts story as written by his g.g.granddaughter, Dale Potts Hollingsworth, is printed on pp 80-81 in the just published book, A History of Southeastern Marshall County, by Lois Swaney. The story of the mystery of what happened to his fortune is on page 94 of the book.
