Any information will be appreciated. It took me years to Prove my 2Xgf parents were Philura Parker and Samuel Lord. it was teased out thru his sister and an obit that mentioned his sister and then an obit that mentioned the sister and HE, I suspect that is where you are going to have to go. 3. I've tried, believe me! I wrote to the library in Texas where some of the siblings went to see if there were any obituaries there for the siblings that might mention my Mary, but no luck. The local paper where Mary lived burned in 1912, and people donated the copies they had, but whole years are missing, including 1901 when Nancy died. I have a book in print of excerpts from this paper, published by the Ashley County Genealogical Society, because the courthouse burned and so many records were lost. The book took me five years of "spare" time to excerpt; it was a labor of love. There are no family members mentioned in Mary's obituary except the daughter she lived with. I have hit so many brick walls with this lady!! Maybe some day.........
