He married Edna Ethel Coleman, they had 2 children the first of which was my grandaddy, Teamious Hawkins Jones. When Team was 5 his little sister Carrie Lee was born (1890). Edna died as a result of childbirth and shortly after that James abandoned his children and ran off with a women who the family disapproved of. Apparently he was disowned by his family because no one seems to have any information on him at all after that. I have been trying to find out who he married and where he went as well as any other children he may have had. Team and Carrie lived with family members but mostly with Garrett Coleman and Susie Jones Coleman. Garrett was the brother of Edna Ethel Coleman Jones and Susie was the sister of James Jones.
