Sophia was the was the daughter of Alexander M. Evans and Sophronia Emeline Buffington. Evans and a large group of related familes came to Marshall county shortly after the civil war in covered wagons. Evans settled the Lebanon community of Marshall County. Sophronia "Sophy" was the daughter of Thomas Buffington and Elizabeth Gilmore. Alexander and Sophronia are buried in the Lebanon Methodist Cemetery. There is also a W. B. Buffington 1/3/1846 - 5/17/1883 buried there. Sophia married G. W. Bonds after Buck's death on 1/5/1888. She is also buried in Lebanon cemetery.
