Mary Josephine Hicks later married Wesley P. Baughman, friend and fellow Confederate soldier of Caleb Hicks. On finding the marriage record of Mary Josephine Hicks and Wesley P. Baughman, I mistakenly thought Mary Josephine's maiden name was Hicks and when I found Mary Hicks in the household of Joseph and Jemima Hicks in 1850, I thought she was their daughter - in error, I might add. I have never discovered the maiden name of Mary Josephine Hicks Baughman.
