I have that urge once again try to make a connection someone who might have my Rebecca Denton b. abt 1830 in possibly in TN in their database. Rebecca was in Marshall Co., MS in 1845 because it was there she married John Calvin Pettus. By 1850 she is in Dodcaw Twp. Hempstead Co., AR - age 20 and then by 1880 she was in Red Colony Twp., Sevier Co., AR age 50. I do not know who her parents were, or of any siblings. This has truly been a brick wall for me for over 38 years now. I have pictures of Rebecca and know her children: William Lee, Allison Woodville, Milford, Obediah Budd, James H.. Rebecca died somewhere between Arkansas and Texas in abt 1884 while returning home from a visit with her children in Texas. She was thrown from the buckboard she was riding in when the horses pulling it were spooked by a herd of wild horses. It is unknown if she was buried there or taken back to Arkansas. Kathleen Burnett
