My mother recalls that at a family reunion of Hunter's that Robert's middle initial stood for Gunn. I have found several Gunn and Hunter marriages that may coincide with my mother's belief that Gunn was RGH's mother's maiden name. I have seen the RGH with Garner but I'm not sure that it is correct. Thanks much for this info. I won't have a chance to really take it further until later this month.
