Dear Pat, I saw your message re the MS Probate Records. May I ask a favor of you? It has to do with Charles grandmother, the wife of Samuel whose second marriage was to Ella Rook. On the death certificate of Charles father the maiden name of his grandmother was given as Tyler. I noticed this was given by Charles mother and I am now wondering if she really knew. I have been unable to find any Tylers. The second thought I had was that perhaps her maiden name was Lyles inasmuch as they gave that name to one son. The 1880 MS Census states that she was born in MS. Could you check to see if either Tyler or Lyles appear in these probate records? Dixie
