This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HKB.2ACI/1643.1.2.1 Message Board Post: Bill Cook said the birth date for Charity Meak was 1814 instead of 1884. We know that this cemetery was used in later years for the black New Hope Church congregation and it may have started out as a family plot for the Alston's, one of the early white settlers of Old Wyatt. Do you mind my asking if the Wilson's and Meak's were black or white.
Darrell, Saw your post on Marshall County List. What Wilson's are you speaking of? The Wilson's that married into the Norfleet family are white.
