OWENS, 65, of Memphis, Tenn., died November 25, 1998 at his home. He was a retired truck driver for Overnite Transportation and a member of Mt. Calvary Pentecost Church in Cayce, Miss. Services were held at 2 p.m. on November 30 at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch. Burial was in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at 9 a.m. on Tuesday. He leaves his wife, Inex BURNETT OWENS; daughters Penny BROWN, Melissa ALLGOOD, stepdaughters, Barbara STEWART, Theresa HUNTER; a son, Gary OWENS; stepsons, Ronnie SMITH, Bennie Joe SMITH; sisters, Vinie BAILEY, Vera May DEMPSEY; brothers, Genie OWENS, Hubert OWENS, Travis OWENS; 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
