Dickson C. TOPP, who resided at Airliewood in Holly Springs, MS. from 1869 to (his family) 1896. I am searching for his exact date of death and burial place. I know that he was alive on June 1, 1880 according to the census taker who visited on that date, and that he was dead by Jan. 1, 1881, a span of some seven months. I have search fruitlessly for the date of death to no avail. If anyone could help shed some light on his death date it would be appreciated. I have already tried the MS. Archives and the Holly Springs newspaper, the cemeteries in Holly Springs, no luck. I had thought of the Memphis paper, since Memphis is only 40 miles away and he had a bother living there, Roberston TOPP, a twin, both prominent men, but that would be searching through six months of micro-fiche. If anyone can help it would be appreciated. Jim Topp jtopp@midsouth.rr.com
