    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/HKB.2ACI/2056.2 Message Board Post: Oh my God! I just found out last month my great great grandmother was a Hearn from Byhalia too. I found out she was married twice, which led to the confusion of her maiden name. Her name was Mary born around 1845 in NC. This is confusing since most Hearns near her age were either listed as being born in MS or TN. Someone mentioned her father might've been a Cherokee Indian. I don't know who her parents and sibblings are. One possible is Charles Hearn born in 1795 in NC. He and his family were mentioned in 1870 census but they all seem to have disappeared from any records. What connections do you find between the Hearns, Wallers, Fants, Cochran, and Neelys? I've been dying to find out. All I have is a will from Caroline Waller who gave land to some Hearns and others. I can send you copy of it in MS Word if you like. It seemed she owned alot of land. I am so glad to hear from you. Thanks!

    2. I think I need to get in on this. Tiff and I have compared some notes on the Hearns and know we are cousins. My gr-gr grandfather Alfred Hearn was born in North Carolina also. He was born March 16,1834 and died April 29. 1904. Their daughter Almer (Duck) married Charles Burton. Alma and Charles had a daughter Beatrice who married Elder Neely. I don' t have anything on the name Waller, but I can see if anyone in the family has heard of a connection. I hope to correspond more and compare what we have all found. I have a couple of Marshall County cemeteries transcribed on my website that you might also want to check out. There is also pictures of the stones.
