They are in 1850 census: John, Jemimah and several children including Henry, Arminta, and Laura. The problem is that my grandfather, John Henry or J. H., who would have been 2-3 years old , is not listed. His CSA records gives 1846-47 as his bd. Other records have varying dates. Anyone know anything about them? Perhaps in another county?
