Married to Emeline Meeks abt. 1847. Moved to Pike Co. Arkansas in late 1850's. He was my gg grandfather. I visited Pontotoc last week. Found nothing new re Jenkins, but deed records documented land sales involving Fants from Marshall Co., Miss. in the 1840's. Then I found your name in the USGenweb page for Marshall Co.
