    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Echols, McKinney, Littlejohn, Matthews, Acres, Richmond Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HKB.2ACI/2028 Message Board Post: I am looking for the ancestors/descendents of George (b. 1830) and Sarah (b. 1840) Echols of the Byhalia area. It is assumed that they were born slaves, but I don't have any information on who may have owned them. George and Sarah had the following children per the 1870, 1880 and 1900 census: Jasper (b. 1856), Ellis (b. 1859), Harriet (b. 1863), Bradford (b. 1865), George W. (b. 1867), John Echols (b. 1870) Sallie (b. 1870) and Virgil (b. 1876). Harriet Echols married Henry McKinney. Her name is spelled as ACRES on the marriage bond. They are my 2nd great grandparents. Her brother, Bradford, married Willie Ethel Richmond. Their children are Alma (b. 1890) and Augusta (b. 1897). The may have had a son, also named George, born 1891; but I am not sure. Alma married Willis Littlejohn and Augusta married Joseph Matthews. Any information that you may have is appreciated. Please do not hesitate to contact me. Thanks Claudia
