I am related to all of the Pittmans in the 7th Miss., This appears to be a man who has not before been ID as being in the 7th. As you pointed out most of the Pittmans are in Co. F. I have one John Pittman in Co. D, and now possibly Calvin also in Co. D. I have the service records of Charles Calvin Pittman and I know it is not him. Anyway thanks for the info, and pointing out my oversight. How did you know about the Pittmans and the 7th Miss.? Regards, George Purvis
