Bill Allen and I share ggg grandparents, Richard Winborn and Rebecca Floyd. Sheriff Joe Winborn was a brother to my gg grandfather, Pugh Houston Winborn. Thanks for the messages, Bobby and Bill. Pugh Winborn, in family lore, was killed in Obediah Langston's woodlot, and I assume he was buried there. I haven't been able to locate him in any cemetery, or heard anything about him from the day of the skirmish in which he was shot fatally.
