Notes for THOMAS WILLIAM CREACY: Thomas William Creacy's nickname is Tom. His name is found spelled out two different ways, 'Thomas William Creacy' and 'William Thomas Creacy'. His wife Cellie's tombstone has written 'Wife of T. W. Creacy', In the Hanna Family Bible pages of Leisel Creacy, Leisel recorded Tom's death as 'Mr. T. W. Creacy died'. Tom was living with son Joseph Thomas Creacy at the time of his death. I found his obituary in the Corpus Christi Caller Times. He was transported to Dawson Texas for burial. His grave site has not been located. Cage Mills Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements in Corpus Christi, Texas. I called the funeral home and was told all older documents are in storage and difficult to get to. Tom's death certificate did not list his parents, so it is possible that the funeral home records will not list them either. Stated in the obit is a brother Sam Creacy who was still living in Killeen, Texas. William's other 2 son's are also listed as living. Lonnie is in Corpus Christi, and Reubin is in Salinas, California. Tom was a farmer. Research shows the prevalent crop at the time was cotton. Tom's death certificate reads as follows: He was born in Texas, January 6, 1871 ((((research shows that he was NOT born in Texas, but born in Mississippi)))) Died December 4, 1953 Was Widowed He died of Cerebral Hemorrhage, Arteriosclerosis Other significant condition was carcinoma on face He was a retired farmer Died at Memorial Hospital, his doctor was (O. B. Moon M. D.) His address upon death is listed as 4506 Brookdale, Corpus Christi, Texas He was 82 years old at time of death Cage Mills Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements in C. C. Texas His body was transported to Dawson, Texas for burial. At the time of Tom's death Dawson did not have a funeral home. Notes for SAMUEL CRAIG CREACY: Sam's obituary spells his last name as Creasy, sent by the Gibbs Memorial Library in Mexia, Texas Obituary also lists that he has four daughter's living at the time: 1. Mrs. C. E. Sawyer of Mexia (this would be Jewell Creacy) 2. Mrs. E. E. Cotton of Killeen (this would be Edna Creacy) 3. Mrs R. L. Mitchell of Houston 4. Mrs. D. L. Agastinelli of San Antonio (and 9 grandchildren) He was born in Mississippi Retired farmer Member of the Baptist Church Lived in Limestone County most of his life Sam was living in Killeen, Bell County, at the time of his father Tom's death Sam was widowed at the time of his death Burial: Prairie Hill Cemetery, Limestone County, Texas More About GEORGE LAWSON CREACY: Burial: Pearl Cemetery, Bell County, Texas More About ANNA L. BLAKELY: Burial: Pearl Cemetery, Bell County, Texas

There are a number show there. Also have they tried Creasy? I find when I can't find in the 1880 they are probably filed by initial only, the 1880 is full of that. Eliz
Good Morning all! Would like to ask help from you CREASEY researchers for finding the below listed brothers. They have unknown parents as of right now. A fellow researcher wrote to me asking for help. I, myself, have never come across the 3 men listed below, but thought maybe one of you dedicated researchers may have fallen over one of them once before. Please let me know if you can help. Thank you, Angela Creacy DiBlasi Here is what we know: Not one of them seem to show up (at least I cant find them) in a census record for MS or TX until 1910 in Texas Fed. Census. In the census, they list themselves as being born in MS and so where the parents. Yeah, unless they changed their names, I cant seem to find them. Please take a look and see if you can offer any help. 1. William Thomas Creacy married Celie Smith was born Sept 6, 1871 Mississippi- died Dec 4, 1953 Nueces Cnty, Texas 2. Samuel Craig Creacy married Ona Viola born Jan 5, 1878 probably in Mississippi- died October 8, 1965 Limestone Cnty, Texas
