I'm looking for information on the John Henry Stewart-Rebecca Holladay family. The IGI shows them starting out in Marion county in Alabama. This is consistent with census records for the Holladays. They were in the Sanford/Lamar/Marion area, near Sulligent. I do not know the origin of John Stewart. John and Rebecca probably married in Lamar county about 1866. Rebecca was born 8/20/1849, but her death date is unknown. John died about 1918, but his birth date is unknown. Their fourth child, Henry L. (Lon) Stewart was born in 1872, probably in Lowndes county. He was my great grandfather and I have lots of information on his descendants. Their first child, Ider Josephine (Josie) Stewart married Alex Killion 11/23/1899 in Lowndes County, according to the Mississippi marriage index provided by Ancestry.Com.
