Intereted in any information concerning the descendents and ancestors of the Noxubee County-based LaGrone (also spelled LeGrone, Lagrone, etc.) and Blackwell, descendents of whom resided in Lowndes County. Both families were in Noxubee County before the Civil War and their descendents gradually moved into the surrounding counties after the war. Re the LaGrones, specifically interested in ancestors of John Lagrone and Nancy Lagrone (same surname for both), whose children included Nancy Jane Lagrone Blackwell, William Lagrone, Liza Lagrone, Frank Lagrone, David Lagrone, Adam Peyton or A.P. Lagrone (believed to have resided in Columbus after Civil War), John Lee Lagrone, and Bettie Lagrone. The Noxubee County Blackwells were the children of Johnathan Warren Blackwell and wife Nancy Jane LaGrone (married before Civil War) and include Sarah Alice Blackwell Card (resided Columbus, d. 1941), Willie Josephine Blackwell, Maggie Hill Blackwell, John Lee Blackwell (believe resided Oklahoma), Charles Edmund Blackwell, Addie Blackwell (believe died in infancy) and Nancy Blackwell (believe died in infancy.)
