My brick wall is Eldridge S. R.Carter born July 21, 1818 , in  La, Tn, or Md.  He married Sarah Jane Butler b Dec 31,1825 in Ms(?).  They were married in Newton or Newton County,Ms Jan 5, 1842.  They had one daughter named Grace Ann F. Carter born Jan 20, 1843 in Ms. By 1850 they  moved to Mobile,Ala where they lived until death.  The family Bible given to them when they married had these dates  plus descendents but I have not been able to find any parents or siblings of Eldridge or Sara Jane.  Eldridge was connected some how to Phebe Carter Goodwin Chadwick born in Md  c 1789 and m to Asa Chadwick,   Margaret Ann Carter Pledger b 1825 m  Abel K Pledger, and maybe Dr.Jesse(Jeppe) Carter  b July 17, 1807.  Their names were on a will in Mobile ,Ala.  Would love to exchange inf with other family.  Thank you, Barbara             Email Barmer@aol.com
