To Anna Prewitt and all others interested in these Lawrence Co families as well as Ward, Loftin/Lofton, Sanders, McColister/McAlister, Carlisle and related descendants: A Bennett book was published in Oct 1998 by Evedene Bennett from her 40+ years of research as well as data contributed by many close and distant cousins. It is an extremely well done hard cover book - 300 pages of genealogy, photos, documents, maps, etc. There has been much new info since then and she is working on an addendum to the first book as well as an updated second printing. There is no profit involved for her in this undertaking as she sells them for printing cost plus mailing. There were no extras printed as I understood it. Anyone who wanted a book (knowing that they were from Benjamin and Delilah Bennett or a related family) sent their name and address to Evedene, and when the book was ready to go to the publisher she sent postcards describing the contents, when it would be ready and the cost. Those who sent checks received books. (I bought 2 knowing that someone would want one, and I could have used 6 more. I also want to donate one to USM's McCain Library or my local genealogy society).
