Copies of Elijah Carney's estate were made at the Lawrence Co. Court House from the Probate Dockets & Wills Packets. Nancy Wilks Carney died in 1863 and there is a packet for her, also. The final settlement of Elijah's estate was not until about 1869. John Carney's estate was found in Marion County, Conveyance Book C. Also, on film - Marion Co., MS Land Deeds Vol. 1851-1861 (pg. 482-1039) at MS Dept. Archives - Marion Co. Roll 3. I am sure film for both estate records can be ordered from the LDS Library.
