Ms Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ms/Lawrence/535 Surname: ------------------------- According to some Wallace family members, and someone tracing Nelson lines, Elijah Carney is supposedly the son of Ikenaby Choctaw who was a signer of the Dancing Rabbit Creek Treaty and that Ikenaby's wife was a white woman by the name of Jane Kearney and their children took the last name and changed the spelling to Carney. The only thing I know for sure is that Ikenaby did sign the treaty but am still looking for documentation. Fay
