Ms Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ms/Lawrence/588 Surname: Ray ------------------------- A John RAY family migrated from Union Co, SC to Lawence Co, MS abt 1816, settling on the Pearl River abt 8 mi north of Monticello. Included in the family were John, Sr and wife, Elizabeth, and 5 children (John Jr, James, Nancy, William and Mary - all born between 1784-1802). After John Sr's death in 1822, John Jr moved to the Little Bahala area where he had the post office. Jr was still alive in 1858, though his wife had apparently died 1840-50. Does anyone know the name of the wife or death dates of either?
