I believe we are speaking of the same Edward Oatis. The reason why were are having so many problems locating info is because some members of the family spell the name Oatis of Otis. I was always told the town was Silvercreek, but it is actually Monticello. I found Edward Oatis in the 1930 census Edward Oatis father Clara Oatis mother Edward Oatis son Clyde Oatis son Fred Oatis (i believe that is what is printed) son I have a uncle who was named Edward Earle Oatis and he was named after is grandfather. I hope that we are speaking of the same person, it would so neat to meet family. thank you, yona
